                             Recycle My Oil

The Burin Peninsula Regional Service Board has partnered with the Atlantic Used Oil Management Association (Atlantic UOMA) to accept drop off used oil and glycol/anti-freeze products for recycling.


Residents in the Burin Peninsula area can participate in this program by bringing their used oil and glycol/antifreeze products to the Depot which is located on the main parking lot at the Landfill Site just North of Jean de Baie.
 

Designated Products that we accept as part of the used oil and glycol recycling program include:

 

  • Used oil
  • Used glycol/anti-freeze
  • Used oil filters
  • Oil/glycol containers (50 litres or less capacity)
  • Aerosol lubricant oil and brake cleaner containers

 

IMPORTANT:

  • Oil and glycol/anti-freeze products must be in a sealed container when dropped off
  • Do not mix oil and glycol/anti-freeze together or with other liquids - contaminated product is not accepted

 

 

Products Not accepted under the program:

 

  • Windshield wash containers (these can go with regular household plastic recycling)
  • Cooking oil
  • Fuel cans
  • Grease
  • Aerosol paint/paint (See Produce Care Paint Recycling Program)
  • Brake fluid
  • Gasoline
  • Hazardous waste
